The second ODI between India and England is being played in Cuttack on February 9, 2025, and England win the toss and chose to bat first. Both teams madeseveralf changes.
England brought in Mark Wood, Jamie Overton, and Gus Atkinson, while India replaced Yashasvi Jaiswal with Virat Kohli and Varun Chakaravarthy made his ODI debut in place of Kuldeep Yadav.
England openers Phil Salt (26) and Ben Duckett (65) added 81 runs for the first wicket in 11 overs. Joe Root and Harry Brook (31) came together to add 66 runs for the third wicket and they were also accelerating the innings as well.
India was in dire need of a wicket and a brilliant piece of fielding got them the breakthrough. The incident happened on 4the th ball of the 30th over bowled by Harshit Rana.
Harshit Rana bowled a slower one seeing Harry Brook advancing and the England batter tried to throw his bat at the ball. The ball went straight up and was traveling right behind the bowler when Shubman Gill running backwards from mid-off took an amazing catch. He kept his eyes on the ball and took the catch with both hands while sliding on the ground.
