IND v ENG 2024: WATCH- 'Ab maar hi nahi rahe'- Jasprit Bumrah hilariously sledges England batters

England lost the third Test in Rajkot by 434 runs, their second biggest defeat in terms of runs.

Bumrah was amused by Root defending a half-volley as well | XIndia registered a massive and record 434-run win over England in the third Test of the series. This match was played at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot and saw the local boy Ravindra Jadeja excelling with both the bat and the ball.

Jadeja made 112 and picked seven wickets including 5/41 and was adjudged Player of the Match. Yashasvi Jaiswal made 214* in the second innings, while Sarfaraz Khan made 62 and 68* in his debut Test, while Shubman Gill also contributed 91 runs.

England, known for their aggressive ‘Bazball’ style of play, were unusually defensive as they began their innings in the 557-run chase. The two openers – Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett – who had made it a habit to find early boundaries, played out two maiden overs before adding the first runs on the board.

England was soon reduced to 28/4 at one stage and Joe Root and Ben Stokes were trying to stem the fall of wickets. Jasprit Bumrah, the ace India pacer, had been troubling Joe Root a lot in this series, and even dismissed him in the first innings.

Bumrah bowled a slower delivery on almost half-volley length, Root decided to play it out with a strong front-foot defensive stroke. Noticing how the England batters had gone into a shell, Bumrah let out a rather hilarious sledge as he ended the 11th over of the English innings.

Ab toh maar hi nahi rahe hain, dekh zara (Now they're not attacking at all, just look at that!),” Bumrah said with a sheepish smile to a teammate.
