IND v ENG 2024: WATCH- “I came up with this strategy...”- Dhruv Jurel reveals how he finds his seat in team bus

Dhruv Jurel was called up as wicketkeeping option in Indian team for England Tests.

Dhruv Jurel | BCCI XDhruv Jurel, the keeper-batter, revealed a funny method how he finds out where he should be sitting in the team bus. Jurel was called up for the Indian team as a wicketkeeping option along with KS Bharat for England TEsts.

While KS Bharat has been given chances in the first two Tests in Hyderabad and Vizag, there are chances that Jurel might get his chance to shine and make his India debut as the team management mulls over the combination for the third Test in Rajkot.

In a short clip shared by BCCI on X (formerly Twitter), Yashasvi Jaiswal asked Jurel how he managed to zero in on his seat on the team bus since he’s yet to get an answer for himself.

IND v ENG 2024: “This bloke's the best bowler in the world,” Ollie Robinson hails Jasprit Bumrah’s extraordinary skills

How did you find your place in the team bus b have still not figured out where to sit,” Jaiswal asked his IPL teammate Jurel.

I was just nervous after hearing of my selection in the Indian team. And then I was worried about where I should be sitting in the team bus. Because if I take a seat and someone else arrives and tells me (to get up) that this is my seat. I was nervous. I came up with this strategy that, say hypothetically if the team bus leaves around 8 pm, I will arrive at 7:59 pm after everybody else is settled so I can find my place easily,” Jurel told Jaiswal.

Jurel, who represents Uttar Pradesh in the domestic circuit, says whenever he gets his maiden India cap, he will dedicate it to his father.

If I will get my Indian cap, I will dedicate it to my father because he’s my father. If I cannot figure out something, I just speak to him. He guides me and has always been my hero,” he said.
