Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah opened up about his strategy and how he works closely with spinners in Indian team. Bumrah also revealed how he worked along with spin bowlers, as he is leading the pace attack in the ongoing second Test against England in Vizag.

Jasprit Bumrah said on Jio Cinema: “I’m always behind everybody’s back. In India, if the ball becomes soft, you have to take care of the ball. With the saliva rule not being there, it’s difficult to maintain the ball sometimes. I’m always behind the spinners… ‘bowl your overs quickly and shine the ball’. Because when it reverses, it will help us, and it will help them.”

Bumrah managed to consistently reverse swing the ball during the second innings of the first Test in Hyderabad, and it posed significant challenges for the England batters.

He signed off by saying, “I’m always behind (their backs), and of course, if the ball is well-maintained, it is always an added bonus.”

Notably, Team India is currently in a strong position against England, with the opener, Yashasvi Jaiswal, single-handedly taking the hosts over 330+ in the ongoing second Test in Vizag. India’s score read 336/6 at the stump, and Jaiswal remained unbeaten at 179.
