Notably, Kohli had withdrew from the first two Tests of the series in Hyderabad and Vizag due to personal reasons.

India lost the first Test in Hyderabad by 28 runs. However, more importantly, India has lost the services of KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja due to injuries and the duo will not play in the second Test in Vizag.

Kohli was expected to be available for the last three Tests of the series. But a report has suggested that there is no clarity over him yet.   

"We haven’t heard anything from him on his return as yet,” a BCCI official told The Times of India.

The BCCI is set to release the squad for the final three Tests soon, and fans will find out whether the former India captain will play the series.

Furthermore, the report indicated that Jadeja's injury could be significant. An formal statement on the all-rounder will be released soon. On the other hand, Rahul is anticipated to return during the series.

The second Test will begin in Vizag from February 2nd onwards. Ranchi and Dharamsala will next the next three Tests from February 15, 23 and March 7, respectively.
