Sarfaraz Khan, the talented young Indian batter, finally received his maiden Indian team call-up on January 29. He was added to the Indian squad for the second Test to be played in Vizag from February 2nd as an injury replacement.
After a humiliating loss in the first Test in Hyderabad, India suffered a huge blow as batter KL Rahul and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja were ruled out of the second Test in Vizag due to their respective injuries.
On Day 4 of the Hyderabad match, Jadeja sustained a hamstring injury while batting, Rahul, meanwhile, has complained of right quadriceps soreness.
Hence BCCI announced that Sarfaraz Khan, Saurabh Kumar, and Washington Sundar were added to the squad as replacement players. It remains to be seen whether Sarfaraz Khan will make his India debut or not, as is Rajat Patidar present in the Indian squad as well.

However, it was a huge moment for young Sarfaraz Khan to be included in the Indian squad. He has been a prolific scorer in Indian domestic cricket and has been knocking on the doors of the national team for the past year or two.
He boasts of an excellent FC record of 3912 runs in 45 matches with 14 centuries and a best of 301* at an average of 70.48.
Sarfaraz comes into the squad fresh off a scintillating 160-ball 161 - with 18 fours and 5 sixes - in the second unofficial Test between India A and England Lions last week.
The cricket fraternity was happy to see the talent of Sarfaraz being recognized and took to social media to wish him luck.
