IND v ENG 2024: Harry Brook to miss India Test tour due to personal reasons

The first Test between the two sides to begin on January 25 in Hyderabad.

Harry Brook | ECBEngland’s Harry Brook will not be returning to India for the upcoming five-Test series as the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed that the batter will miss the series due to personal reasons.

The England team practiced in Abu Dhabi for the five-Test series before coming to India. The two sides will play five Tests starting with the first match in Hyderabad on January 25.

The second Test will be played in Vishakhapatnam on February 2nd. The third match will be played in Rajkot from February 15, the fourth Test will be played in Ranchi from February 23 and the final Test to be played in Dharamshala from March 7.

On January 21, 2024, the ECB announced that young batter Harry Brook will fly back to the UK for personal reasons and will miss the entire Test series.

Harry Brook is set to return home with immediate effect for personal reasons from the England Men’s Test tour of India. He will not be returning to India. The Brook family respectfully requests privacy during this time. In light of this, the ECB and the family kindly request the media and the public to respect their wish for privacy and refrain from intruding on their private space,” ECB said a in statement.

The ECB also stated that a replacement will be named in due course.
