He was a force to be reckoned with on the field with a masterclass at taking important catches and saving important runs at the boundary ropes. His athletic save at the boundary in the 17th over of Afghanistan’s chase made a huge difference in India tying the match and losing it.
He also took a very good catch to dismiss Najibullah Zadran who looked to start aggressively. In the end, Afghanistan failed to score the required 3 runs off the last ball and managed just 2, tying the match.
