Team India on Sunday (January 14) recorded a convincing six-wicket victory over Afghanistan in the second T20I at Indore to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

The match also marked Virat Kohli’s return to T20Is for the first time since November 2022. On his comeback, the star batter scored 29 runs off 16 balls, including five boundaries.

Kohli didn’t only entertain the fans with his quickfire knock in the second T20I but also showed his gentle side when a fan breached security to hug him and touch his feet.

Security personnel immediately detained the fan for breaching security but Kohli intervened, urging them to show kindness towards the young man.

After detaining the fan, the cops took him to Tukoganj police station. A police official confirmed that the youth had a ticket for the match and entered the Holkar Stadium from Narendra Hirwani Gate.

He added that the young man seemed to be a big Kohli fan and entered the ground by climbing the fence of the spectators' gallery.

The officer said that the youth was being interrogated and further steps will be taken in the case on the basis of interrogation.
