Virat Kohli proved to be the nemesis for West Indies in this T20I series. He struck an amazing 94* in the first T20I at Hyderabad, as India chased down 207 runs with ease. He had an off day in Trivandrum but was back in his old form.
Coming in at no.4 after Rohit Sharma was dismissed for a magnificent 71 off just 34 balls with 5 sixes and 6 fours and Pant falling for a duck; Kohli decided to go on the attack from the go. Everyone was waiting with bated breath for him to face Kesrick Williams, who got the upper hand as he gave away just 3 runs in the 16th over, keeping the Indian captain quiet.
But things came to head in the 18th over, as first Williams was hit for a six by KL Rahul and then Virat Kohli produced a trademark wristy flick as the bowler tried to go full while angling the ball into the batsman. Kohli cleared his front leg and bottom-hand whipped it high over wide long-on.
However, the funnier thing was the aftermath as Kohli was amazed by his own shot and his face said it all, as he had a look of awe while staring at the bowler throughout the time.
