Rishabh Pant (58 off 38 balls) and Shikhar Dhawan (92 off 62 balls) notched up brilliant half-centuries to help India beat West Indies by six wickets in the final T20 and complete a 3-0 series sweep.

Chasing 182, India were in a spot of bother at 45 for 2 before Pant and Dhawan added 130 runs off 80 balls to put the visitors on the backfoot. Both the Delhi batsmen entertained the crowd with their dazzling stokeplay. While Dhawan smashed 10 boundaries and 2 sixes in his herculean knock, Rishabh hit 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Among the number of stunning strokes what stood out was Rishabh Pant’s one-handed six off Kieron Pollard in the last ball of the 12th over. It was a slower delivery from Pollard as Pant got his bat down and used his bottom-hand to loft that over wide long-on for half a dozen. The bowler was stunned as Pant cleared the boundary ropes with utmost ease.

Although Pant and Dhawan were sent back in the 18th and 19th over respectively, Manish Pandey remained unbeaten on 4 runs to help India cross the line.

Earlier, West Indies rode on Darren Bravo and Nicholas Pooran’s unbeaten 87-run partnership for the fourth wicket to post 181/3 in 20 overs. In particular, Pooran was severe on the Indian bowlers, slamming 53* runs off 25 balls with four boundaries and as many sixes. Bravo remained unbeaten on 37-ball 43.
