Team India continued their dominance over West Indies on the second day of the first Test at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot. After declaring their first innings at 649/9, India reduced the visitors to 94/6 in 29 overs at stumps on Day 2.
The Windies batsmen were all at sea against India’s bowling attack as speedster Mohammad Shami removed the openers and the spin trio of Ashwin, Jadeja and Kuldeep claimed one wicket each.
Commenting on the abysmal performance of the Windies, veteran India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh took to Twitter and wrote: “With all due respect to West Indies Cricket but I have a question for u all...will this west Indies team qualify for Ranji quarters from the plate group? Elite se to nahin hoga”.

While Harbhajan makes a fair point, with West Indies hardly putting up a fight against the No.1 Test side. However, his scathing post didn’t go down too well with fans, including the Indians.
Fans reminded Harbhajan of India’s awful record in SENA countries and slammed him for being disrespectful towards the visiting Windies side.
Here are some tweets:
This was the exact feeling England were having when we were out there playing against them in their home ground! Don't be arrogant for no reason! Forgot that you are a sportsman?? #INDvWI #sportsmanship #staygrounded #stayhumble

Without any respect, this is the same WI that got BAN for 41 runs. The same BAN that won on AUS and ENG. So please have some respect for other cricketing nations sir ji.

With all due respect... this kind of behaviour is the reason you are sitting here and tweeting instead of playing. Very Disrespectful.

If English ex cricketgers had made such comments about our teams the previous tours in 2011 and 2014, how would you have reacted? Disrespectful

How about try to be a little respectful??Also WI has won a test match in Eng & UAE(vs Pak) each. They are missing few of their key players in this match.

Resuming their innings from 364/4, India piled on the agony as Virat Kohli (139) and Ravindra Jadeja (100) hit fine centuries to demolish the confidence of visitors. Wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant also scored a swashbuckling 92 off 84 deliveries.
