India beat Sri Lanka in the last T20I at Pune to seal the series 2-0. It was a convincing 78-run win for the Virat Kohli-led side as they dominated the game throughout. Asked to bat first, India piled up 201/6 in 20 overs. The openers, KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan scored 54 and 52, respectively.

In the death overs, when the team score was to be flourished, India lost two wickets in two balls. But Manish Pandey ensured the team gets a good finish for an above-par total on a batting-friendly deck.

He scored 31* runs in just 18 balls to take India over 200-mark. Shardul Thakur also played a cameo of 8-ball 22* in the end to contribute.

Manish made his debut in Yuzvendra Chahal's 'Chahal TV' and talked about the innings. "After a long time, I got a chance to play for India. I was talking with the coaches during training about how to grab opportunities and making sure that I deliver. It felt like I was playing after a long time and I am happy to contribute to the side's winning cause," Pandey told Chahal.

Pandey has the best yo-yo Test score and it shows in his fielding. The 30-year-old stressed on the importance of another aspect of the game, fielding.

"Batting and fielding are equally important, and it is important to give each aspect, a proper time during training. In a close match, catches and good fielding helps a lot," Pandey said.
