Ahead of India’s Test series opener against South Africa, Virat Kohli was seen sweating it out in the nets. The Indian skipper looked in command as he received throwdowns and practiced his leaves as well as a lot of defensive strokes.

Taking to Twitter, BCCI posted a little clip of Kohli’s intense practice session with the caption reading: “#KingKohli”.

Virat was in terrific touch during the T20I series against South Africa. He played a match-winning knock of 72 not out in the second game at Mohali.

Apart from Virat’s net session, the BCCI also shared the preparations of pacemen Mohammad Shami and Ishant Sharma.

Since Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the South Africa Test series due to a minor stress fracture in his lower back, Shami and Ishant will have to spearhead the pace attack as senior campaigners.

The much-awaited three-match Test series will commence on October 2 in Visakhapatnam.
