IND v NZ 2023: Cricket fraternity reacts as India register record win in third T20I to clinch series 2-1

India bowled out the visitors for a paltry 66 after piling up 234 on the board.

India outplayed New Zealand in the third T20I | BCCITeam India registered a crushing 168-run victory over New Zealand in the third and final T20I at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday (February 1).

Opting to bat first, the Men in Blue rode on opener Shubman Gill’s whirlwind 126 not out off 63 balls to pile up a gigantic 234/4 in their allotted 20 overs.

Defending the massive total, Indian bowlers, led by skipper Hardik Pandya, ran through the Kiwi batting line-up, bundling out the visitors for a paltry 66 in 12.1 overs.

While Hardik returned with his career-best T20I figures of 4 for 16 in his four overs, the pace troika of Umran Malik (2-9), Arshdeep Singh (2-16), and Shivam Mavi (2-12) picked two scalps each as India registered their biggest ever win in T20Is in terms of runs.

It was a listless batting performance from the Black Caps as only two of them in the line-up managed to touch the double-digit mark. Daryl Mitchell was the top scorer with 25-ball 35.

With this thumping victory, the Hardik Pandya-led Indian side also clinched the three-match T20I series 2-1.

Cricket experts on Twitter lauded the Indian team for their clinical display in the series-deciding third T20I.
