Indian fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar made his long-awaited comeback into the Indian team for the recently concluded T20I series against England which was played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Bhuvneshwar was out of cricket after suffering a hip injury during the IPL 2020 in the UAE and had been rehabbing at the NCA in Bengaluru and had recently played for Uttar Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the most experienced pacer on the Indian T20I side against England. He returned with 4 wickets in the 5 T20I matches against England with his best of 2/15 coming in the series-deciding fifth T20I.
His economy was 6.38 in the series and many former cricketers lauded Kumar on his comeback in the Indian team and impressing one and all with his brilliant outing.
