Baroda all-rounder Krunal Pandya and Karnataka pacer Prasidh Krishna got rewarded for their performance in the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021. Both the cricketers have received a maiden call-up to the Indian ODI squad.
India's ODI squad for the three-match series against England was announced on Friday (March 19). Pandya and Krishna were delighted after being included in the side and they expressed their happiness on social media.
Pandya took to Twitter and wrote that he's ready to give his 100 percent after the opportunity to play for his country once again. "Honoured and grateful to have the opportunity to represent my country once again ???????? Ready to give it my all", the tweet read.
The 29-year-old has played 18 T20Is for India and made his international debut back in 2018, while Krishna will be wearing India colors for the first time.
The Karnataka fast bowler, who plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL, called the feeling surreal after seeing his name in the ODI squad. "Feels surreal when you get the call to play for your country", he wrote.
"It's like a dream come true. Excited to play my part and contribute to the success of the team. Thanks @BCCI. Can't wait to get started", the pacer added.
