Former England captain Michael Vaughan lauded the Indian team after they defeated England by 8 runs in the fourth T20I at the Motera in Ahmedabad. India drew level in the series 2-2 and the fifth T20I on March 20 becomes the series decider.
India on account of Suryakumar’s 57 and contributions from Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant took India to 185/8 in 20 overs. Jofra Archer took four wickets.
In reply, England managed to make 177/8 despite Jason Roy’s 40 and Ben Stokes’ 46, as Hardik Pandya’s 2/16 and Shardul Thakur’s 3/42, along with Rahul Chahar’s two wickets helped India keep England batsmen under pressure and win the match for India.
Michael Vaughan lauded Virat Kohli’s captaincy by taking a dig at him for allowing Rohit Sharma to lead in the last few overs of the match. He then went on to highlight how Mumbai Indians’ players like Rohit's captaincy, Suryakumar's batting, and Hardik Pandya's bowling won the game for India.
