England's opener Jos Buttler took apart the Indian bowling attack in the third T20I at the Narendra Modi Stadium. His 52-ball 83* in a successful chase was lauded by former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir.
Gambhir rates Buttler as the best T20 batsman along with India's Rohit Sharma. He said the Englishman can rip through any bowler with so many options as a batsman.
Buttler, the Man of the Match in the third T20I, hit 5 fours and 4 sixes and didn't let any bowler settle. “He’s phenomenal, probably the best T20 batter in the world along with Rohit Sharma. Ian Bell just mentioned he is the best English white-ball batsman. According to me, Jos Buttler is the best white-ball batter in the world.

“He’s got so many options. I don’t think there is anyone who has got so many options, be it facing the fast bowlers and spinners the reverse sweep, the lap, you can call everything.
“He is just phenomenal and once he is in this kind of form, it’s difficult for anyone to stop him because he has so many options,” Gambhir told ESPN Cricinfo.
Indian bowling attack looked helpless against Buttler and Gambhir felt that the Virat Kohli-led side missed the services of Jasprit Bumrah, their prime fast bowler.
“Obviously, when Jasprit Bumrah is not there, it’s difficult for bowlers like Shardul Thakur, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Hardik Pandya to stop someone like Jos Buttler,” Gambhir added.
