Veteran India wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik has lavished praise on Virat Kohli after the skipper struck another fabulous half-century in the ongoing five-match T20I series against England.
The dashing right-hander has found his form with the bat in the ongoing T20I series at home, hitting match-winning runs 73* off 49 balls to help India beat England by 7 wickets in the second T20I to level the five-match T20I series and on Tuesday (March 16), played another inspiring innings in Ahmedabad.
After India lost wickets in a quick manner with the likes of Rohit Sharma (15), KL Rahul (0) and Ishan Kishan (4) surrendered themselves cheaply, Kohli took the charge of the team and played captain’s knock to help the hosts post 157-run target in the third game on Tuesday.

However, Kohli’s unbeaten 77-run knock and crucial partnership of 40 runs with Rishabh Pant for the fourth wicket and 70 runs with Hardik Pandya for the sixth wicket were not enough for Team India, as England thrashed the hosts by 8-wickets in the third T20I to take a 2-1 lead in the ongoing T20I series.
Following his praiseworthy innings against England, the out-of-favor batsman Karthik took to Twitter to laud Kohli for his inspiring performance with the bat at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Tamil Nadu captain praised the “King Kohli” in a very unique way, as he tweeted, “Starts like a corolla, finishes like a FERRARI #KingKohli,”
Noteworthy, India and England will next face each other in the fourth game on March 18 (Thursday) in Ahmedabad and the hosts have to win the remaining two games to win the series.
