Ace Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has taken leave from the BCCI in order to get married and wanted time off to prepare for the same, reports suggested.

Jasprit Bumrah, who was part of Team India for the ongoing four-match Test series against England, was released two days after the completion of the third Test match due to personal reasons.

However, ahead of the fourth Test match, it has come into the knowledge that the premier pacer has asked for some days off as he is getting married.

Talking about the same, sources in BCCI said that the pacer is getting married and has taken leave for the preparations.

"He informed the BCCI that he is getting married and has taken the leave to help in preparations for the big day," source told ANI.

In the ongoing Test series between India and England, Jasprit Bumrah featured in two matches, claiming 3 for 84 and 1 for 26 in the first Test at Chennai, and was rested for the second Test.

However, in the third Test match at Ahmedabad, Bumrah went wicketless as spinners Akshar Patel and R Ashwin did the bulk of the damage.

The pacer has already been allowed to miss the five T20I matches to be played on March 12,14,16,18 and 20 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in order to do proper workload management.
