Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag took a dig at England's poor batting show on day one of the day/night Test at the 'Narendra Modi Stadium' with a popular Rahul Gandhi meme. He was joined by his national teammate Harbhajan Singh as well.

England skipper Joe Root won the toss and elected to bat first in Ahmedabad. They played out the first 20 odd overs well with 74/2 on the board. Opener Zak Crawley was the only batsman that looked comfortable on the crease as all others missed the line of the ball too often.

Axar Patel, who had picked one of the first two wickets, continued his form from the second Test match in Chennai and raced through the rest of the English line-up. He picked five more wickets to finish with figures of 6/38.

England collapsed from 74/2 to 112 all out in a space of 27 overs. Zak Crawley was the highest scorer of the innings with 53 from 84 balls while no other batsman scored even 20. Ben Foakes was the only other batsman to face more than 40 balls while 8 players faced less than 30 balls.

Sehwag used this fact to make fun of the England batting and used the Rahul Gandhi tweet.

He captioned it, "England batsman as soon as they come on the wicket #INDvENG"

Harbhajan Singh quoted the tweet and wrote, "Classic Viru"
