Mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy thanked veteran Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik after he complimented the former for his selection in India’s T20I squad against England.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday announced the Team India’s squad for the five-match T20I series, which will begin on 12th March in the New Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera Ahmedabad.
The squad saw the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Rahul Tewatia, and Ishan Kishan earning their maiden call-up. While mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy was also named among the 19-member squad.

Varun Chakravarthy on account of his brilliant performance in the Indian Premier League 2020 (IPL) was picked in the Indian T20 squad for the tour of Australia but later was ruled out of the series due to a shoulder injury.
However, with being selected in India’s T20I squad for a five-match series against England Varun Chakravarthy is likely to make his debut.
Addressing Chakravarthy’s inclusion in the Indian T20I squad, veteran Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik took to his Twitter handle and said that Chakravarthy deserved every bit of this selection.
“Couldn't be more happier for this boy . Go well @chakaravarthy29 you deserve every bit of this selection #INDvsENG #T20Series,” Dinesh Karthik Tweeted.
Replying to the praise by Dinesh Karthik, mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy thanked Karthik and said that he loves Karthik and his ways of motivating him from behind the stumps.
“Thanks DK ANNA....love you and your ways of motivating me from behind the stumps.. ????@DineshKarthik,” Varun Chakravarthy replied.
