Former Australian wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist is in awe of the Indian youngster Rishabh Pant for his brilliant wicket-keeping skills on a rank turner in Chennai in the second Test against England.
A day before, he had showered similar respect for England wicketkeeper Ben Foakes, who is touring India for the very first time.
The pitch on offer for the second Test match wasn't the best for the batsmen or the wicket-keepers. The ball spun sharply and changed lengths quite often after pitching. Spinning tracks are never easy to keep wickets on especially on Day 3, 4, or 5 of a Test match.
Birthday boy Ben Foakes was exemplary with his glovework in the first innings and on Day 3 of the Test whereas Rishabh Pant too showed a lot of promise behind the stumps.
He took two catches diving full-length to his left when the pacers were bowling and also affected a couple of stumpings that were not easy as the ball was far from the stumps.

Adam Gilchrist, the wicket-keeper with second-most dismissals in international cricket, took to Twitter to praise both the wicket-keepers. On Day 4, when India completed the 317-run victory over England, Gilchrist tweeted, "Yesterday it was Foakes, today it’s @RishabhPant17 #brilliant"
