The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have named the England squad for the upcoming third Test match against India of the four-match series.
England had won the first Test match which was played in Chennai by 227 runs, while India came back to score an impressive 317-run win in the second Test match, also played in Chennai, drawing level 1-1 in the series.
Now the caravan moves to Ahmedabad as the third Test will be hosted by the New Sardar Patel stadium in Motera and will be a pink ball, day-night affair, starting from February 24 onwards.
This will be the first such Test match between India and England and will mark the debut of Motera stadium, which is the largest cricket stadium in the world, with a capacity of 1,10,000 people.
England has decided to include Jonny Bairstow in the 17-man squad. Also returning to the squad is fast bowler Jofra Archer, who missed the second Test due to an elbow injury. Opener Zak Crawley also returns to the mix, having missed the first two Tests due to a broken wrist.
Meanwhile, all-rounder Moeen Ali returns to England for a break and won't be available for the remaining two Test matches. Dom Bess returns to the England squad in Moeen Ali's place.
