Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen took to his Twitter handle and lauded veteran Indian pacer Ishant Sharma for his fabulous spell in the third session on Day 2 of the ongoing first Test-match between India and England and called Sharma an unsung hero.
On another dominating day by visitors, ace Indian pacer Ishant Sharma, playing in his 98th Test, gave Team India something to cheer about as he picked two back to back wickets in the third session on the second day of the ongoing first Test-match between India and England.
Ishant Sharma clean bowled the dangerous Jos Buttler (30) and Jofra Archer (0) off successive deliveries to reduce England to 525/8 at the end of another long day for Team India in the field.
Reflecting on the same former England batsman Kevin Pietersen took to his Twitter handle and singled out the spell by Ishant Sharma in the last session of the day’s play.
"Fabulous little spell here from Ishant. And I say fabulous, as 170 overs in the field is like a prison sentence! He is also an unsung hero. He has been around for many a year in Indian cricket. As a fast bowler it is highly commendable,” Kevin Pietersen Tweeted.
