India and England teams are all set to lock horns in all-format series starting from February 5 with the first two Tests of the series to be played in Chennai. Both teams have entered the bio-secure bubble in the city with just about a week to go for the first Test.

It has been understood that BCCI chief selector Chetan Sharma has also entered the bio-secure bubble. The new chief of national selection committee, Sharma wished to have a face-to-face meeting with Team India skipper Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri.

A team source has revealed that Sharma wants to pick the brains of both Kohli and Shastri probably about how the team will look going forward. The chief selector might also conduct a formal meeting with the Indian team management.

The team source told Cricbuzz, "Having come on board recently, he wants to pick the brains of Virat, Ravi and other coaches. Some time during the stay in Chennai there will be formal meetings between the chief selector and team management. If need be, he could also travel with the team."

The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association President, RS Ramaswamy, has confirmed that Chetan Sharma has entered the bubble but is not sure about when he will be leaving it.

Ramaswamy said, "We don't know how long he (Chetan Sharma) will be here but I can confirm that he has entered the bubble."

Two more members of the selection committee, Abey Kuruvilla and Debasish Mohanty, are currently in Ahmedabad to witness the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and they will have to connect to the team management, if required, virtually.
