The Bangladeshi players called their strike off on Wednesday (23 October) after Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) accepted most of their demands and also have started training for their upcoming tour to India for three-match T20 series and a two-match Test series.

In this training session on Friday (25 October), former New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori joined the Bangladesh side as their new spin bowling coach, replacing India's Sunil Joshi. Vettori who retired from international cricket in 2015, will work for 100 days leading up to next year's World Twenty20 in Australia.

Bangladesh left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny who returned to international cricket after three years was really excited to have Vettori as their coach. As a left-arm spinner, I always followed his bowling. He is a great left-arm spinner. He is my coach now. Today is his first day, so let's see, we have more practice sessions coming,” Sunny said.

Sunny who also spent two months in jail after posting intimate photos of his girlfriend on social media was hoping to some advice from the 40-year-old Kiwi as he said, “He was an international player and also did coaching in IPL. So maybe if I talk with him and get some advice on how I can improve, it will be better for me.

Bangladesh will take on India in a three-match T20 series beginning from 3 November and the team is expected to leave for India by 30 October.
