Jadeja had previously picked the wicket of Mitchell Marsh.

Ravindra Jadeja took an excellent diving catch | GettyThe first ODI of the three-match series between India and Australia got underway at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 17, 2023, with India’s stand-in captain Hardik Pandya winning the toss and choosing to bowl first.
Australia is being captained by Steve Smith after Pat Cummins stayed back home after the demise of his mother.
The match saw Mohammed Siraj giving India a quick break, dismissing Travis Head in the second over itself. But then Steve Smith and Mitchell Marsh added 72 runs together before Smith (22) was dismissed by Pandya thanks to a brilliant catch by keeper KL Rahul.

Marsh continued to hammer the Indian bowlers and was ultimately dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja for a 65-ball 81-run knock which had 10 fours and 5 sixes in it.

Marnus Labuschagne was looking good to set in for a long haul, but his knock came to an end thanks to the bowling of Kuldeep Yadav, as Ravindra Jadeja took a one-handed blinder.

Kuldeep set up Marnus by bowling a few full-length deliveries and as he dropped one ball short outside off stump, the batter pounced on it and cut it towards backward point.

The ball was only in the air for a short duration, but enough for a diving Jadeja to get his hand underneath it to complete a blinder of the catch.
