Jadeja made 28 runs in 84 balls before falling to Todd Murphy on day four.

Kohli looks in disbelief as Jadeja fell to Todd Murphy on day four | TwitterIndia all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja had played well with Virat Kohli as India looked to build partnerships on day three and the duo managed to keep Australia away from taking any more wickets in the ongoing fourth Test in Ahmedabad.

India resumed on day 4 at 289/3 and Jadeja continued to defend his way through. But all of a sudden he played some shots and got a few boundaries as well. But on the last ball of the 107th over, Todd Murphy got the last laugh after almost getting Jadeja out previously in the over.

After the last ball saw Jadeja almost hitting the ball straight into the hands of the mid-on fielder, the Indian left-hander tried to repeat the same, but this time only got the inside half of the bat on the ball and Usman Khawaja happily received the catch, sending Jadeja back for 28 runs.

A mere spectator at the non-striker's end, former Indian skipper Kohli was not pleased with Jadeja after the stat batter's ambitious attempt to attack Murphy backfired. He just looked at Jadeja with a blank expression of disbelief on his face.

Not only was Kohli unhappy with Jadeja’s shot, but even Sunil Gavaskar was enraged at the way the all-rounder got out.

"What has happened? Did somebody say anything to him? Suddenly in this particular over, he has gone the aerial route - even the boundary that he hit was uppish, Look at that, Kohli is not impressed, and the change room is not gonna be impressed I can tell you that. Rahul Dravid, the coach, is not gonna be impressed with this shot. And he has played such responsible innings before this. Therefore, this is a shot, hard to understand," Gavaskar thundered on-air during the match commentary on Star Sports.

"He has given Australia a wicket on the platter," said Harsha Bhogle.
