Indian team found themselves in a lot of trouble in their first innings after resuming on day two of the ongoing second Test match against Australia in Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, as Nathan Lyon hit the Indian top order hard.

He started with KL Rahul (17) and got the big wicket of Rohit Sharma for 32 runs. He then dismissed Cheteshwar Pujara for a duck and had Shreyas Iyer caught for 4 runs as India teetered at 66/4.

But then Virat Kohli (44) and Ravindra Jadeja (26) added important 59 runs for the fifth wicket to bring India back into the game. However, Jadeja then fell to Todd Murphy and Kohli was out LBW to debutant Matthew Kuhnemann for 44.

During their partnership, an incident happened between Jadeja and Steve Smith during the 40th over of the Indian innings.

On the last ball of the over, Jadeja smashed a drive towards cover and charged for a run. However, Kohli denied him a single, and the left-handed batter, who had already covered significant length on the pitch made a quick turn in an attempt to return to the crease.

As he returned back to the crease, Jadeja accidentally clashed with Steve Smith, who had positioned himself to receive the ball in case wicketkeeper Alex Carey missed it. This led to Jadeja patting Smith on the back and both shared a laugh and shook hands.
