IND v AUS 2023: Indian cricket fraternity wishes Cheteshwar Pujara as he features in his 100th Test for India

Pujara became the 13th Indian cricketer to play 100 Tests.

Pujara getting his 100th Test cap from Sunil Gavaskar | GettySaurashtra native Cheteshwar Pujara became the 13th Indian cricketer to play 100 Test matches as he stepped onto the field for the second Test match between India and Australia which is being played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi from February 17, 2023.

Pujara had made his India debut against Australia as well in 2010 in Bengaluru and played a brilliant knock of 72 in the second innings, helping India win the match. Since then he has had a tremendous career thus far.

In 99 Test matches, the veteran batter has registered 7021 runs, including 19 hundreds and 34 half-centuries, along with a high score of 206*.

As he walked out onto the field in the Stadium, he received a well-deserved guard of honor from his India teammates and before the match started, he was presented with a special memento by Sunil Gavaskar while his family was also present with him.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also shared a video of Pujara getting the Guard of Honour on social media.  

Not only did his teammates lauded his achievement, but the Indian cricket fraternity also took to Twitter to praise Cheteshwar Pujara and wish him on his 100th Test match for India.
