India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant couldn't take the field for India in the first ODI against Australia after getting hit on the helmet by a Pat Cummins bouncer while batting on Tuesday. KL Rahul instead kept wickets for India.
There hasn't been any report about how serious is Pant's injury, but as per a BCCI source, the 22-year-old will not be traveling with the team in Rajkot.

"Rishabh Pant will not be traveling to Rajkot today with other members. He will join the team later," a BCCI source told PTI. "Normally 24 hours is the time to keep someone who has suffered concussion under observation," he added.
It was the 44th over of the match when Pant was hit on the helmet by Cummins. The blow had also resulted in his dismissal. He was sent back after his 28 off 33 balls innings. Overall, the first ODI was humiliating for India as they lost by 10 wickets and were bowled out on just 255 in first innings.
