Ever since MS Dhoni played that famous inning of 148 runs against Pakistan in Visakhapatnam, he became one of their own there. Dhoni gets a lot of love in the southern part of India and his arrival in Vizag ahead of the first T20I was evidence of it.
Dhoni was surrounded by the fans when he came to the airport. Fans were going crazy to see him and he was immediately guarded by the CISF personnel present at the airport.
The chants of Dhoni's name is often heard in the cricket ground when he comes out to bat. But here, the familiar chant was at the airport as well.
The 37-year-old's inclusion in the T20I side is often criticized. His game doesn't suit the format anymore, as per cricket pundits and hence he should not be added in the side. Dhoni will get two matches against Australia, followed by IPL to prove his critics wrong. In ODIs, he has done well this year so far.
