The ODI series between the home side Pakistan and the touring West Indies team was slated to be played late last year. But after several players in the visiting camp tested Covid-19 positive, it was rescheduled and the Caribbean team had to return home after playing just three T20 internationals.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday (March 28) announced that Rawalpindi will host the postponed ODI matches against the West Indies from 8 to 12 June.
The PCB also said that the Windies board has agreed to play three T20 internationals in early 2023.
The ODIs will be a part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League. The top seven teams from this event, as well as the hosts of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, India, will qualify directly for the pinnacle 50-over competition, which will be held next year in October/November.
The three T20 internationals which were played in December 2021 at the National Stadium in Karachi were all won by the home side.
Series schedule:
June 8- 1st ODI, Rawalpindi
June 10- 2nd ODI, Rawalpindi
