Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja made 44* in 23 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes in the ongoing first T20I against Australia. Along with KL Rahul’s 51, Jadeja took India to 161/7 in 20 overs.
Australia had won the toss and chosen to bowl first. Moises Henriques picked 3/22, while Starc picked two wickets as well.
Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja was injured during his innings, as he hurt his hamstring while trying to run a quick two and then he was hit on his helmet on the second ball of the last over by Mitchell Starc. He had top-edged the ball onto his helmet and was dropped at point by Henriques.

As India came out to defend the 162-run target, BCCI announced that leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal will come out as a concussion substitute for Ravindra Jadeja. Chahal will be allowed to bowl his quota of 4 overs, in Jadeja’s place.
Meanwhile, Jadeja is being assessed by Team India’s medical team.
