Team India suffered a heavy defeat against Australia in the first game of the tournament by 66 runs. India used five bowlers in their 50 overs with the most economical bowler Mohammad Shami conceding 59 runs in his 10 overs.

With Hardik Pandya not being able to bowl due to his fitness concerns, Virat Kohli will have to ponder upon the team balance yet again. Former Australian all-rounder Tom Moody mentioned that it will be interesting to see how the visitors tackle with this issue.

AUS v IND 2020-21: ‘Working on my bowling, going to come in when the time is right’, says Hardik Pandya

Moody even said on a lighter note that Kohli will have to bowl his medium-pacers if needed.

Moody told ESPNCricInfo, "It will be interesting to see how they manage it. What’s the alternative option? Perhaps Kohli himself might have to bowl few of his little mediums. One of things that is becoming quite clear even though it’s early days in the tour, and I’m only talking the white-ball series, is that Australia look far more settled and organised as a unit."

The 55-year-old further went on to state that the Australian side has a much better batting as well as bowling department than the visiting Indian side.

He said, "They’ve got all their bowling options sorted. They’ve got experience in those bowling options at Finch’s disposal. Their (Australia’s) batting is strong, it’s robust."

"They’ve got a number of players that can put together a match winning performances, whereas India I think are still finding their way with their batting order. They are clearly finding their way with regard to the depth of their bowling So there’s lots to think about and ponder for India," he concluded.
