Australia secured a series win over England with a thrilling three-wicket victory in the third and final ODI at Old Trafford on Wednesday (September 16).
Chasing 303 to win, Australia’s top-order faltered badly but the visitors rode on Glenn Maxwell (108 off 90 balls) and Alex Carey’s (106 off 114 balls) 212-run partnership to overhaul the target with two balls to spare.
Apart from the fierce contest between bat and ball, the fans also witnessed a couple of bizarre moments during the match.

One such moment was seen during the 19th over of England innings when Aussie skipper Aaron Finch took a freakish review. Jonny Bairstow defended a straight ball off Adam Zampa but Finch opted for a review, only to waste it.
Another incident involved Glenn Maxwell as he attempted to play a reverse sweep and found himself before the stumps. Maxwell was hoping to smash the ball for a boundary but he ended up gloving it, which eventually saw him escaping a plumb LBW dismissal.
