Two days before the start of the fifth and final Test of the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir got into a furious argument with the Oval's ground crew on Tuesday.
Tuesday was supposed to be the first practice session for Team India, who arrived in London on Monday. The intense argument between Gambhir and Lee Fortis, the custodian of the Oval pitch, was the highlight of the session.
Gautam Gambhir was reportedly unhappy with the facilities provided to the visiting team. "You don't tell me what to do" is what Gambhir was even heard saying to the curator, as per Times of India.
There was a lot of finger-pointing from Gambhir as the former India opening batsman became quite agitated over something, as per several reports. Sitanshu Kotak, the batting coach, also got in, engaging Fortis in lively conversation.

The pitch curator initially moved away from Gambhir to talk to Kotak.
TOI also reported that The Oval’s ground staff have threatened to lodge a complaint against the India head coach. Unfazed, Gambhir reportedly shouted back, “You can go and report to whoever you want, but you can’t tell us what to do.”
