India captain Shubman Gill and pacer Mohammed Siraj were not only putting pressure on the England batters on day one of the third Test being played at the Lord’s ground, but the stump mic caught the duo trolling and sledging opponents for their slow batting, deviating from their aggressive ‘Bazball’ style.
Ben Stokes, England captain, continued his good luck by winning the toss, but this time, he chose to bat first. Both sides had one change, as Jofra Archer made his England Test return for the first time since 2021, and Jasprit Bumrah replaced Prasidh Krishna in the India XI.
Known for their quick runs, England openers Zak Crawley (18 in 43 balls) and Ben Duckett (23 in 40 balls) started cautiously, as Indian pacer hit the perfect length on a seemingly two-paced pitch.
The Ben Stokes-led team has struggled since they are unable to play their fearless cricket because of the Indian pacers' disciplined bowling, which has not allowed the England hitters to gain an inch.
Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj delightfully ridiculed the England hitters after becoming frustrated with their lethargic approach. A video that was uploaded by Sky Sports Cricket shows Siraj exclaiming, "Bazball, come on, I want to see it."

Shubman Gill, the captain of Team India, has previously mockingly slapped England's hitters for their lethargic play. When Joe Root and Ollie Pope played 28 consecutive dot balls in the second session, Gill made his remarks.
He was heard on a stump mic saying: "No more entertaining cricket lads. Welcome back to the boring Test cricket boys.”
#ShubmanGill, with the most sarcastic sledge of the season kyunki ye seekhne nahi, sikhane aaye hain ????
