Virat Kohli-led Indian Cricket Team is all geared up for the third and must-win Test against England to be played from Saturday (18 August) at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.

Following the Lord’s Test, many Indian cricket greats and cricket pundits have opined that India have to make some changes in their approach and attitude, as well as, their playing XI to keep themselves alive in the ongoing Test series as they have already 0-2 down in England.

In Nottingham, James Anderson-led English pace attack would be keen to pile on the misery for the Indian batsmen once again to seal the Test series while Kohli’s batter have to lift their hands up to counter the attack if they want to win the third Test.

Recently, former Indian cricketer Ajit Agarkar has picked his best Playing XI for the Nottingham Test against England while speaking to ESPN Cricinfo.

He also hinted that Kohli can surprise everyone at the toss while picking Murali Vijay and KL Rahul as his opener and given No.3 slot Cheteshwar Pujara.

The Mumbai chief selector has picked Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane for the No 4 and 5 slots while picking Umesh Yadav ahead of Jasprit Bumrah who has been declared fit for the must-win Test for India.

He is also excited about the raw talent of Rishabh Pant who looks set to make his Test debut on Saturday, saying his inclusion might just bring the freshness to the line-up.

Here’s Ajit Agarkar’s playing XI: Murali Vijay, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli (c), Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant (wk), Hardik Pandya, Ravi Ashwin, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami
