Jasprit Bumrah who is yet to feature for Team India on the tour of England, will have to wait for some more time after he was ruled out of the second Test which will be played from Thursday (August 9) at Lord's Cricket Ground.
India's bowling coach, Bharat Arun confirmed the news to the media and said, "Jasprit Bumrah is bowling fit right now but I think it's too early to put him into a game-like situation because, I think, he needs to come out of the band-aid/plaster on his hand. For the second Test, he is out of contention,"
India have chosen not to rush their speedster after an impressive bowling performance by Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav in the narrow defeat at Edgbaston. The pacer hurt his left thumb on the last ball of the 1st T20I against Ireland on June 27 and has not played any cricket since.
India will be under pressure to level the series at Lord's after letting the first Test slip out of their hands despite having control over the game for large parts once skipper Virat Kohli scored a magnificent 149.
