Fast bowler Harshit Rana, who impressed one and all with his exploits in the IPL 2024 season, was in action for India D in the Duleep Trophy 2024 match against India C in Anantapur on Thursday (September 5).

On the opening day of the match, Rana returned with a couple of wickets in the final session. He dismissed India C’s opening batter Sai Sudharsan (7) and then got the prized scalp of Ruturaj Gaikwad, who scored 5 off 19 balls.

After removing Gaikwad, Rana gave a flying kiss send-off to the India C skipper. The video of his controversial act went viral on social media.

Harshit Rana caught everyone’s attention with his on-field aggression during the IPL 2024. A noteworthy incident that took place was when KKR faced SRH at the Eden Gardens on March 23. The right-arm quick had given a flying kiss send-off to Mayank Agarwal after dismissing the SRH opener. As a result, he was fined 60 percent of his match fee.

In another match against Delhi Capitals, the KKR pacer brought out ‘finger on lips’ celebration after taking the wicket of Abhishek Porel.

Rana was charged guilty a second time for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct. This time he was fined 100 percent of his match fee while also being banned for one game.
