Veteran Indian batter Ajinkya Rahane joined the Mumbai team in Patna for their Ranji Trophy 2024 match against Bihar, but he, unfortunately, couldn't play due to an injury.
Rahane expressed his disappointment over missing the opening game of the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024 but stressed that he always plays cricket with great passion, and it is only injuries that can sideline him from a match.
Ajinkya Rahane was quoted as saying by India Today: “I have a great passion for playing, and that’s why I came to Patna. I never back down from playing. However, during a practice session, I suffered a minor injury in my neck. That’s why I am not playing this match. But I will definitely play in the upcoming Ranji matches.”
