SMAT 2023: Fans left stunned as Kartik Tyagi clocks 152-153 kph deliveries; hits Piyush Chawla on head

Kartik Tyagi clocked over 150kph regularly | XIn the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, Uttar Pradesh speedster Kartik Tyagi has shocked everyone as he was seen clocking 152 and 153 kph deliveries in the preliminary quarter-final match against Gujarat.

Kartik Tyagi has been one of the promising pacers in the country. He was part of the Indian U19 team which played in the Youth World Cup 2020. He plays domestic cricket for Uttar Pradesh and has been part of the Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad squads in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Tyagi was also one of the net bowlers for the Indian team which won the historic Test series in Australia in the 2020-21 tour. However, injuries plagued his career a bit, but he has come back fit and is bowling at the speed of light it seems.

In the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 trophy match between Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat, Tyagi was seen bowling at speeds of 152 and 153 kph, going over the 150kph mark pretty regularly. Gujarat was restricted to 127/8 in 20 overs with Bhuvneshwar Kumar taking 3/21 and Tyagi taking 1/27 in their 4 overs quota.

He even pinged Piyush Chawla on the helmet with a speedy delivery which landed the experienced cricketer in discomfort.
