Ranji Trophy 2022: WATCH – Chinnaswamy crowd chants 'RCB, RCB' as Rajat Patidar comes out to bat in Ranji final

Patidar was unbeaten on 120 as MP went into Lunch break on Day 4 with 475/6 on the board.

Yet to win a Ranji title, Madhya Pradesh strengthened their position in the summit clash at stumps on Day 3.

Riding on a 222-run partnership for the second wicket between Yash Dubey (133) and Shubham Sharma (116), MP finished the day with a strong score of 368/3, trailing Mumbai by only 6 runs in the first innings.

Rajat Patidar, who impressed one and all with his exploits in the IPL 2022 season, was unbeaten on 67 at the close of play on Day 3.

Patidar came into the crease after the dismissal of Shubham in the 90th over of MP’s innings. Upon his arrival in the middle, the Bengaluru crowd erupted into chants of ‘RCB, RCB’.

In the IPL 2022 season, Patidar played 7 innings for RCB, scoring 333 runs at an average of 55.50 and an impressive strike rate of 152.75, including 1 century and 2 fifties. He famously smashed a ton (112*) in the Eliminator against Lucknow Super Giants and also scored a half-century versus Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2.

Rajat Patidar continued his brilliance on Day 4 of the Ranji Trophy 2022 final against Mumbai. He notched up his century before the Lunch break. It was his 8th hundred in First-Class cricket.

The right-hander was unbeaten on 120 as MP went into the Lunch break with 475/6 on the board, leading Mumbai by 101 runs in the first innings.
