Former England captain Micahel Vaughan on Thursday (February 17) praised Delhi batter and ICC U19 World Cup-winning captain Yash Dhull for his hundred against Tamil Nadu. Dhull made his first-class debut with a century on the opening day of Ranji Trophy 2022.

Dhull opened the batting for Delhi with Dhruv Shorey and completed his hundred off 133 balls with 16 boundaries after lunch on the opening day of the match. The situation wasn't easy for him as Delhi were two down on just 7 runs in the third over of their innings.

Vaughan lauded the youngster and wrote that we will see a lot of him in the upcoming years. "100 on his first-class debut … Yash Dhull is a player we will be seeing lots of over the next few years … #India #RanjiTrophy," the tweet read.

Dhull went on to score 113 runs before he was dismissed by M Mohammed.

Recently, Dhull was picked up by Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) mega-auction for INR 50 lakhs. Earlier this month, Dhull had led India to a record fifth U19 World Cup triumph after they defeated England in the summit clash.
