A bizarre incident happened during the 31st match of the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL 11) when the on-field umpire Bruce Oxenford immediately changed his decision after giving the batter out. Perth Scorchers' captain Ashton Turner was the batter who objected to being given caught behind and the umpire reversed his call in three seconds.

It was the fifth delivery of the 14th over in Perth's innings when Melbourne Stars' pacer Xavier Crone believed he had got the wicket. He bowled a short ball to Turner, who tried to pull it but completely missed the delivery.

There was a sound as the ball reached the wicket-keeper and the Melbourne fielders started celebrating. Even the umpire Oxenford had ruled the batter out, but he soon changed it.

The replays showed the ball had hit the helmet of Turner and the umpire made the right decision. However, Melbourne captain Glenn Maxwell was not happy and he had a long chat with Oxenford.

The Perth skipper, Turner was later run-out in the 18th over after scoring 27 runs off 19 balls. They eventually posted a total of 180/8 in 20 overs with Kurtis Patterson (54) being the top-scorer.

In reply, Melbourne got bowled out for 130 runs inside 20 overs and lost the match by 50 runs. They lost their last seven wickets for 19 runs in just four overs.
