Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) clinched a 27-run win over St. Lucia Kings (SLK) in Tuesday's clash (August 31) of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2021) to take revenge of their defeat to the same  opponent two days ago.

Kings' captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to field first as the Kieron Pollard-led Knight Riders finished with a competitive total of 158/7 in their 20 overs. Pollard himself scored a crucial 41 in 29 balls, while Tim Seifert continued his fine form in the tournament with 25-ball 37.

Kesrick Williams impressed the most from St. Lucia Kings as he finished with figures of 4/24 in his four over spell.

In reply, the Kings could only manage 131/7 with Andre Fletcher playing a valiant knock of 81* in 55 balls. The next best score from a Kings batsman was 14 as the wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Ravi Rampaul took 3/34 and Isuru Udana picked up 2/32 for the Knight Riders who wrapped up an easy win in the end.

In a interesting incident during the Knight Riders' innings, on the penultimate ball of the 19th over bowled by Wahab Riaz to Seifert, the TKR captain Kieron Pollard who was at the non-striker's end, reacted sharply after an obvious wide was not called by the onfield umpire.

Pollard who is known to often react animatedly to umpiring decisions, chose to walk away almost to the edge of the 30 yard circle and stood there for the final ball of the 19th over.

The video instantly went viral on social media. Watch here:

TKR now have four points from four matches, while SLK have two points from three matches.
