The remaining matches of the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 are likely to be scheduled in June.

The sixth edition of PSL 2021 was postponed earlier this month with immediate effect after six players along with one official were tested positive for the COVID-19.

However, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) along with all the franchises are aiming to reschedule the remaining 20 matches of PSL 2021 in the month of June in Karachi.

While addressing the same Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released an official statement stating that they along with all the franchises have unanimously agreed to host the remaining matches in June.

"This was unanimously agreed by the six franchise owners and the PCB in a virtual meeting held on Thursday afternoon after taking into consideration all factors relating to event organization," PCB said in a statement.

PCB further stated that the remaining 20 matches will be played after the Pakistan team returns from their tour of Zimbabwe on May 13 and before they depart for England on June 26.

"The remaining 20 matches in June are now being planned following the men's national cricket team's return from Zimbabwe on May 13 and before their departure for England on June 26. The PCB management will now look into the operational and logistical challenges and revert to the franchise owners and stakeholders," the statement read.

Earlier on Sunday PCB named an independent fact-finding panel to review the bio-secure protocols that were put in place during the PSL 2021.

"Distinguished infectious disease experts Dr. Syed Faisal Mahmood and Dr. Salma Muhammad Abbas have been appointed as independent members of the two-person fact-finding panel that will review the bio-secure protocols as well as the bylaws that were put in place during the Pakistan Super League 6," PCB said.
